JIŘÍ TRNKA’S EXHIBITION with the support of ARBOR
As early as 2018, the preparation of a multimedia and interactive exhibition by Jiri Trnka, one of the founders of the Czech animated film, planned for the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region from 26 October 2019 to 29 February 2020 under the name
“In Gardens of Imagination”.
Jiří Trnka is most often seen as a world-renowned animated filmmaker, but his work has also been influenced by books, scenography, free graphics and painting. On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the premature death of Jiří Trnka, GASK is preparing an extensive exhibition aimed at reminding his work in full. The exhibition will also include an interactive section for children inspired by The Garden Book and several accompanying programs mapping various aspects of the artist of life and work. The exhibition will be interactive and designed mainly for families with children.
